From occasional fatigue, to ideal energy: an overview of supplements for energy – and what works!

Who doesn't struggle with low energy sometimes, right?! Let's review what supplements are best for fighting occasional fatigue and enhancing energy.

Your energy is literally the starting point (or non-starting point) for everything you do and hope to achieve.

Our Energy Support Kit features the best vitamins and supplements to help fuel a healthy life!

Energy Support Kit Includes:

Dr. Lynch recommends the pulse method when trying out any new dietary supplement:

"The pulse method is my approach to figuring out how much of a supplement you need – and at what point should you increase the dose, decrease it, or cut the supplement out altogether." ~Dr. Lynch, Dirty Genes p. 218

Read more about the pulse method here.

As we dive deeper into each supplement in our Energy Support Kit, consider speaking to your healthcare team to see which one might fit your needs, and consider using the pulse method to try them out.

Methyl B12 with L-Methylfolate

  • Supports cellular health
  • Supports the normal conversion of homocysteine to methionine
  • Supports cognitive health
  • Supports healthy energy levels

One of the most common signs of a vitamin B12 deficiency is fatigue or lack of energy.

The metabolism of every cell in the body is dependent on vitamin B12 because of it's essential role in the synthesis of fatty acids and energy production.

Vitamin B12 enables the release of energy by helping the body absorb folate.

Methyl B12 with L-Methylfolate is the dynamic duo of nutrients for energy – vitamin B12 & folate!

This formula provides 1,000 mcg of vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin and 800 mcg of folate as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate.

"I was referred to Seeking Health by my ADHD nurse practitioner. I have one copy of the MTHFR C667T gene mutation. After trying a couple of other supplements with no success, she recommended this one. I started with half a lozenge for a week. I noticed an increase in my energy, mental clarity, and less fatigue. On the second week I started taking the whole lozenge and it was a significant difference. I felt better than I had in years!"  ~Review by Kellie

Optimal Electrolyte

  • Supports healthy hydration and fluid balance
  • Supports mitochondrial health
  • Supports healthy muscle function
  • Supports healthy energy levels
Optimal Electrolyte is an excellent choice for supporting endurance and energy levels as part of your daily routine or fitness regimen. optimal-electrolyte-stick-packs-fitness-2-1

Electrolytes, such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium, carry electrical charges and play a key role in maintaining cell membrane stability – and enabling proper muscle function.

With added creatine, D-ribose, taurine, and niacin, our Optimal Electrolyte also supports cellular maintenance as well as energy production.

So exactly HOW do the additional ingredients in Optimal Electrolyte support energy production?

Creatine: Naturally produced in the human body, creatine helps to supply energy to all cells as an integral component in ATP, the primary unit of energy needed for cellular activity. Creatine may support muscular health, strength, and speed training by providing cells with immediate ATP.

D-ribose: Due to the critical role it plays in generating energy for cells, D-ribose is a ubiquitous pentose sugar that may help support energy production and muscle recovery.

Taurine: This nutrient helps magnesium absorption. If you have low taurine, you aren't going to get magnesium inside your cells, and if you take an electrolyte supplement containing only sodium, magnesium, and/or potassium, then you aren't getting the support you need.

Niacin: This nutrient helps produce NADH, which plays an essential role in the energy production of every cell. You need NADH to help make your ATP.

Serotonin Nutrients

Healthier sleep may be your key to unlocking energy, and you may not even know you aren't getting enough deep sleep.

If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, you may benefit from Serotonin Nutrients.

Key Benefits:

  • Supports a healthy sleep duration and quality of sleep
  • Supports the body's healthy response to stress
  • Helps promote a feeling of relaxation
  • Supports healthy mood*

A good night's sleep is a vitally important part of mental and physical health during waking hours.

Serotonin Nutrients is a blend of vitamin B6, 5-HTP, inositol, niacin, saffron extract, and turmeric extract. Together, they help to support healthy serotonin levels which also supports sleep as serotonin is used to make melatonin.

"Serotonin Nutrients has helped me experience the deepest sleep in a long while! A great product for me taking with a large lunchtime meal several hours before sleep. Very Happy, will reorder! Thank you." ~Review by Jill

Vitamin D Drops

Vitamin D is a proven part of the energy process in your cells, and deficiency of this vitamin is a well-recognized cause of low energy (and muscle weakness).

A shocking 82% of the general population may be vitamin D deficient and benefit from vitamin D supplementation. 1

Common signs of vitamin D deficiency include fatigue, tiredness, brain fog, muscle pain, depression, frequent sickness/infections, etc.

Here's what you can expect from our Vitamin D Drops:

  • Cost-efficient, potent dose in each easy-to-use drop
  • Simple, low-allergen potential formula
  • Supports bone health as part of a healthy diet rich in calcium and other minerals
  • Supports a healthy immune system

Studies have shown that those with very low vitamin D levels experienced significant improvement in fatigue when their vitamin D levels were normalized. 2

"My children and I have a very low immune system and I do take vitamin D daily as do my children. I have bought several brands and can only handle very pure and no fillers whatsoever! When I saw this brand and compared it to what I just bought at our local health food store, I wasn't sure if there would be a difference. Yes, there is a difference; I noticed it right away since I can feel any changes that happen to my body very quickly. My children even seemed to be happier overall, and I felt less tired even with no sun days. This product is worth purchasing and I will definitely purchase again!"  ~ Review by AB Girard

Energy Nutrients

Dr. Lynch recommends Energy Nutrients if you occasionally have trouble getting out of bed in the morning.

Key Benefits:
  • Supports healthy cellular energy production
  • Supports cognitive health
  • Supports cardiovascular health
  • Supports healthy mitochondria

NADH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is the biologically active form of niacin (vitamin B3) and functions as a biological spark plug in the cellular energy metabolism. It is commonly used as support for energy, memory, concentration, and physical training and endurance.

CoQ10 (coenzyme Q10) functions primarily to provide cells with ATP, the primary unit of energy needed for cellular activity.

Tissue levels of CoQ10 steadily decline with age. And, as levels decline, so does the ability of cells to maintain adequate energy production and mitigate cell damage as well as they did with adequate CoQ10 levels. When low tissue CoQ10 levels occur, supplementation may help restore normal levels.

When we add a supplement like Energy Nutrients to our daily regimen, we lessen some of the need for cellular protection by our mitochondria and frees them to support cellular energy. (They do both, but can't do both at the same time.)

"I can feel an immediate increase in my energy and mental sharpness after taking this product. I appreciate that it doesn't make me feel jittery, but just energized and more effective as I start my day."  ~Review by Whitney
